Welcome ...  Community Bible study is an interdenominational Bible study for the community.  We offer indept Bible study for people from all backgrounds and levels of Bible knowledge.  Community Bible study helps people - from children to seniors - grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Classes meet each Thursday at 9:30 am - 11:30 am

We are now taking registrations for Fall 2009.    This fall we begin our new year in Genesis.     We invite you to come and visit with us on Thursday, April 6th at 9:15 am.  You will  meet  our teaching director, Ann Rier, as well as our core leaders and many of our existing members. 

We want 'YOU' to be sure to reserve your book and your place in a core group NOW.

Our Bible courses are for both men and ladies of all ages.

Your children are a vital part of our CBS Bible Study

Our CBS home school program has had a very successful year!  Homeschool, Preschool, Nursery.... we welcome all ages!  Your child can be a part of the program by enrolling now for the fall 2009 !!  All children will participate in Bible study and memorization of Scripture, as well as other activities that enhance their learning experience.   You may contact our Children's Director, Paula Garavelli,  by calling  901-230-5008 to get more details.

                      2009-2010  Bible Study Emphasis - Genesis

 

                           

The substance of Genesis lies in its timeless themes:  God's mighty power and greatness,  God's love for His creation, and His grace toward fallen mankind.  In its pages, human dignity and purpose, mankind's rebellion and judgement, and forgiveness by means of a promised Redeemer, are revealed at the very beginning of history -- in the Garden of Eden.  Though Noah's Flood wiped out one sinful generation, after the Flood people still rejected God and built the tower of Babel.  Gods redemptive plan continued to play out in the formation of the Hebrew nation.  The lives of the Patriarchs are traced with the great stories of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and the sojourn of the Hebrew nation in Egypt.  Genesis displays

God's holiness and faithfulness, and His patient development of mankind's faith in a coming Messiah.
